Silicon Vikings is a non-profit professional networking organization, working to connect the business and technology sector in the Nordic region (Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden) and Baltic region (Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania) to Silicon Valley. ==Background and activities== In 1997, the organization was initiated by Kjell Olsson, Håkan Lindh and Magnus Eriksson to provide networking opportunities for Swedish professionals in Silicon Valley. Later, the group decided to re-focus the organization to include anyone interested in the intersecting world of business, technology, Silicon Valley and the Nordics and Baltics. In 2011, the organization went through a re-structuring by changing its online visual identity and by hiring Adiba Barney (previously Cremonini) as Executive Director. In January 2014, Adiba Barney (previously Cremonini) left Silicon Vikings to take on the role as CEO of SV Forum. In January 2015, Charlotte Danielsson joined Silicon Vikings as Executive Director.
